Pickling acid is what cleans your pieces in between soldering! You want to make sure you have a bowl of water to rinse off your piece thouroughly when its time in the pickle is over. You know its done pickling when your silver is a white color!

Measuring how long the bezel wire should be, shaping, adjusting the height, and cutting backplates.

This is how I solder bezel seams together!

I show you how to sand the solder seam off and adjust the height of the bezels using a flex shaft.

How I solder bezels to backplates!

Put the pieces in until the color of the silver is a soft white. Rinse thoroughly with water. You always want to pickle your pieces in between soldering jobs. Solder won’t flow if your metal is dirty!

Make sure to only use copper tongs in the pickle pot!

I show how to make and solder on a beaded border around the ring’s bezel.

I show you how I arrange embellishments and solder them onto the backplate.

Drop them in the pickle pot and rinse again to get them clean and ready for sawing! Make sure to only use copper tongs in the pickle pot.

How I saw out a piece with embellishments.

Instead of using the hand saw for this one I decided to use my shears since it was a simple shape!

I show how I sand the edges of both pieces and smooth out the scratches.
